Raising Children Who Can Stand
How do we move from children who simply inherit our beliefs to young people who know what they believe, understand why they believe it and have the conviction to live it?

We want to raise children who know who they are, have strong character, understand what they believe and can make wise choices—even when we are not there.
But today's children are growing up surrounded by powerful influences competing for their attention, identity and values.
And for families raising children across cultures, there can be another layer:
How do we raise children who are grounded in who they are and what they believe while growing up in a culture that may not always reinforce the values we are teaching at home?
The Family Life & Identity Summit 2026 is a one-day virtual gathering for parents who want to become more intentional about both what they are building in their children and how they are preparing them for the world around them.
It is easy for parenting today to become focused on everything we need to protect our children from.
But protection alone is not enough.
While we wisely guard against influences that can undermine our children, we must be even more intentional about what we are building in their place.
Because we cannot protect our children from every difficult idea, temptation, relationship or environment they will encounter.
Eventually, they must be able to stand for themselves.
How do we move from children who simply inherit our beliefs to young people who know what they believe, understand why they believe it and have the conviction to live it?
How can everyday family life—responsibility, discipline, boundaries, contribution, consequences, failure and problem-solving—help develop the character children need for adulthood?
How do we create safe, age-appropriate conversations about bodies, sexuality, relationships and sexual integrity before pornography, peers and the internet become our children's teachers?
And how should we respond when exposure, sexual struggles or difficult questions have already begun?
Movies, music, social media and digital content do more than entertain. They communicate ideas about identity, relationships, morality, success and truth.
How do we move beyond simply banning content and teach children to recognise the messages they encounter, think critically and develop discernment for themselves?
This Summit is designed to help you:
This Summit is for parents who want to raise children with strong identity, character and conviction in today's complex world.
It will be particularly valuable if:
The Summit is also relevant to grandparents, pastors, children's and youth leaders, educators and family practitioners who help shape the next generation.

Last year’s Identity Summit brought together 350+ attendees, with Summit content receiving 2,000+ views.
This year, we’re going further. We’re moving from simply understanding the challenges facing the next generation to asking:
What must we intentionally build?
What must we wisely guard?
And how do we prepare our children to eventually stand for themselves?

No. We welcome parents from around the world. The Summit intentionally addresses some of the realities families face when raising children across different cultures.
The conversations will be especially relevant for parents of school-age children and teenagers. Parents of younger children will also benefit from learning how to establish strong foundations early.

Yes. The Summit is grounded in a Christian worldview while addressing the practical realities parents and children are navigating today.
Absolutely. We encourage both parents to participate where possible.
But we can intentionally build what matters. We can create homes that form them. We can have conversations before culture has them. We can teach them to think rather than simply consume. We can help them develop convictions rather than merely inherit rules. And we can prepare them for the day when they must choose for themselves.
Let’s build intentionally. Let’s guard wisely.
Let’s raise a generation that can stand.
